For EarthCam, Inc.
Heritage Landscapes prepared a National Register of Historic Places nomination for this historically significant Modernist landscape by James Rose. In 1985 Texwipe Corporation Headquarters commissioned Rose to develop a 10.60-acre corporate campus in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey. Rose supervised the construction of this project for Edward and Florence Paley, of Texwipe. Today Rose’s design remains evident throughout the property due to the careful work of EarthCam to preserve and restore the gardens, walks, fountains, plantings and structures. Our collaborative efforts for EarthCam for the New Jersey Historic Preservation Office (NJHPO) led to listing in the National Register of Historic Places on 7 March 2025. Tasks included:
The landscape exemplifies a Modernist style, featuring geometric beds and pools as integral elements. Its major elements include a Tea House structure, angular fountain basins at building, a Timber Bridge, and earth mounds with sculpture atop. EarthCam Corporation, a global leader in providing webcam content, technology and services, actively preserves and stewards this James Rose landscape in authentic historic detail as a valued cultural asset of their office and work environment.
