Heritage Landscapes principal, Patricia M. O'Donnell, presented two papers at the ICOMOS 15th General Assembly in Xi'an China and saw some fascinating Chinese heritage of cultural landscapes, historic villages, sacred mountains, palaces, and temples, and more learn more and read her papers.

Patricia M. O'Donnell, FASLA, AICP, Principal of Heritage Landscapes, served as the Scientific Committee Chairperson for the March, 2004 United States Committee of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (US/ICOMOS). This international symposium addressed the issues of learning from World Heritage in terms of the preservation and management of natural and cultural resources. Ms. O'Donnell contributed a detailed journal article summarizing the fascinating range of papers presented and the meeting outcomes. Ms. O'Donnell also served as principal author of the international declaration that was ratified in the final session of this important symposium. The article published in the George Wright Society FORUM (Volume 21 Number 3, September 2004) and declaration are included here.
